The ARx.800 Platinum level audio cables are the first interconnect cables to use LC-OFC (Linear Crystal Oxygen-Free Copper). This is a similar material to the PC-OCC (Pure-Copper Ohno Casting) used in the ARx.900 cables. Signal quality is very nearly identical in these two materials but manufacturing costs are notable lower for LC-OFC. Thanks to this economic efficiency, Phoenix Gold is able to offer a great quality cable at a fraction of the price of the competition. Each conductor bundle (30-strands each bundle) is wrapped in a specially formulated PVC jacket. These bundles are then geometrically arranged in aspiral, twisted-pairs to increase common mode rejection. This process improves the cables ability to ward off RF interferences which will cause quality degradation of the audio signal. To further maximize audio fidelity the cables contain an independent drain wire and a 100% Mylar foil shield which are grounded at their source (input) end. The durable polyurethane jacket of this cable is a sleek 6mm (versus 9mm on ARx.900) for those tight installations. CLICK HERE for more details and price |
